How this site makes money
TheWashDay is a participant in the Amazon Services LLC Associates Program, an affiliate advertising programme that pays a commission on qualifying purchases. When you follow one of our Amazon links and buy something, Amazon pays us a small share of that order. You pay the same price either way.
Our Associates tracking identifier is usefulfindsguide-20, and it belongs to this site alone. Two things on a product card can be an Amazon link: the "Also on Amazon" action beside the maker's own button, and the product photograph itself. Both carry asponsored attribute, and every page with a buying action carries a plain disclosure line beside the first one.
The "View at …" button goes to the maker's own product page: tgin, Curlsmith, Pattern Beauty, Olaplex, Briogeo, The Doux and the rest. We have not joined those programmes, so those links earn us nothing and we deliberately do not mark them as if they did. If that changes, this page changes first.
We run no display advertising, we sell nothing ourselves, and nobody has ever paid to appear on this site or to be placed in a routine.
What a commission cannot do here
Nothing on this site is listed, ordered or recommended by what it pays. Products are grouped by the wash-day step they belong to, and the routine planner follows the step order and the maker's own directions. The code that filters, orders and plans never reads a commission, tracking or affiliate field.
We do not use these products and we do not claim to. Every direction, size, ingredient list and declared claim comes from the maker's own page with its review date recorded, and where a maker does not publish something the page says the fact is unknown rather than guessing. Photographs and source links
Product photographs are served at page load from Amazon's authorised product image API and are separate from any ordering. They expire and are removed when their permitted period ends. A source citation is not an affiliate link: links to maker product pages, ingredient lists and FAQs earn us nothing and exist so you can check what we have said.
The photograph on the home page is a generated illustration, not a photograph of a product we own. It is captioned as one. The detangling diagram in the curly-hair guide is an original drawing with real text labels; it replaced a generated photorealistic image on 12 September 2026 because that image implied a demonstration we never performed.
